I am teaching PYPM to 1st graders and it is really fun. The kids are really funny and full of enthusiasm and laughter. I love it and hope to stay in the program for a while.

I liked you coming and teaching us about alcohol. Now that I know not to take alcohol and drugs, it makes me feel safe.

I really liked this PALs class because it taught me things I didn't know about the brain, safety from alcohol, and different ways to say no to drugs and alcohol.

I really like this because we really learned a lot, and why it is important not to drink until you are 21, and why it's important never to do drugs. They didn't have any boring ways of teaching us, all of it was interesting and fun.

I thought it was really fun and educational. I learned a lot of stuff that I've never even heard of. I also liked the way they explained it. I think we did a lot of interesting activities. But I really liked it because we learned something, we learned it in a really fun way.

This program was really nice. It taught me new things that I never ever knew. It also reminded me about the things that I had forgotten. You need to keep it up because many kids ned to know this in case they get offered a drik or get offered drugs. Good thing you came up with this special program.

Please keep doing this program so the kids in the future can learn as much as I did. So this world can be drug free.

It was the best workshop I have ever attended in my entire life.

I feel more like a leader and a role model…The info I learned and the experiences helped me build courage to stand in front of people and others in my age group.

I learned that big kids are heroes to the little kids - they look up to us - and it's up to us to help them go the right way.

[The high school peer helper teachers were] "the best in the world. If they were my real teacher, I would always come to school even if I was sick.
— 3rd grade student
It will affect the choices I make in my life and I will use it in the future to share with my own kids
— American Indian peer helper
I am learning while I am teaching. I know the affects of alcohol.

All that was taught to us at the training was new to me and has played a big part in my life. [I] have been able to make good choices myself about why I don't drink.
