What if my question isn't covered in the FAQs section?
Why target children in elementary school?

  1. How long is each session?
The sessions are different lengths depending on the grade level. First graders can not sit as long as fifth graders. The first and second grade lessons are generally between 20-25 minutes and the fifth grade lessons are about 45-50 minutes.

  2. Does the curriculum adhere to the zero tolerance policy?
Yes. the curriculum takes the stand of zero tolenance on the use of any illegal drug and any use of alcoholic beverages by persons under 21 years of age.

  3. What if my question isn't covered in the FAQs section?
Feel free to drop us a line, or send in an e-mail to pypm@madd.org, and a member of the PY/PM staff will be more than happy to help you with answering any questions that you can muster up.

  4. Why target children in elementary school?
Use of alcohol is starting earlier. Alcohol is the Number 1 drug of choice for young people today and they are starting to drink at earlier ages than ever before. Research tells us that we must begin to teach children about alcohol five years before they are exposed to the risk to make a difference.
